CroAGRO & FOOD AND HEALTHY LIVING FAIRS

During the same period from 5 - 8 December, Zagreb Fair organizes CroAGRO, the International Fair of Agriculture, Agricultural Equipment and Machinery and Food and Healthy Living Fairs.

CroAGRO and Food and Healthy Living Fairs are significant platforms for the presentation of all topics in the field of agriculture, food and sustainable living as well as the promotion of occupations in agriculture. Both fairs offer the opportunity to explore the latest products and technologies as well as to establish valuable business contacts.

Owing to the high quality of the exhibition and educational programme, Zagreb Fair regards these fairs as unavoidable events for all who want to stay up to date with the latest trends in agriculture and healthy lifestyle.

The fairs will be supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia, the City of Zagreb, the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts, the Croatian Chamber of Economy, the Croatian Chamber of Agriculture and the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food.

The fairs will gather 350 exhibitors from 26 countries at more than 11,000 m2 of exhibition space in 5 pavilions: 8, 8a, 9, 11a and the aula between pavilions 11a and 10a.

CroAgro - the top national and the central agricultural event brings together farmers, manufacturers and experts from the entire region under a single roof every year. The fair is an ideal platform for networking and exchanging experiences and knowledge at B2B meetings, presenting new products and services, as well as sharing experiences with visitors for improving their own business.

The exhibition, professional and educational segments of this fair include the most modern agricultural machinery and equipment, the necessary raw materials and digitalization in agriculture.
CroAGRO brings an abundance of innovations and technologies, with a special emphasis on modern agricultural machinery, sustainable technologies and digital solutions. The fair stands out as a key platform for Croatian agricultural machinery manufacturers, enabling them to present the latest products and technologies.

As the most important agricultural fair in Croatia, CroAGRO gathers leading brands and companies from all sectors of agricultural production, giving visitors the opportunity to learn about the latest trends and solutions. This year, the fair will be held in full scale, with a rich programme of lectures, workshops and presentations, and provide visitors with specific instructions on the application of new technologies in practice. The organization of the fair in accordance with the highest standards of the international exhibition industry ensures high-quality service and experience for all participants.

There is a special focus on young farmers and the promotion of agricultural occupations. Through cooperation with institutional partners, it is possible to guide young people towards innovative solutions in agriculture and stimulate their interest in the profession, ensuring the development of a sustainable and modern agricultural in the future. Partners in the promotion of occupations in agriculture are the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb and the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek.
We wish to mention famous tractor brands that will be present at the fair: Massey Ferguson, BCS, Ferrari, Goldoni, Landini, Pasquali, Claas, Steyr, Deutz-Fahr, Same, Kubota. Other famous brands include Stihl, Echo, Encore, Club Sadet, tractor tires Ascenso, the Turkish agricultural machinery producer Barbaros motor makina, Frigopak, Karcher …  From the Croatian producers we wish to single out Mega metal, Strojometal Faić, Leško. 

Professional and accompanying programme

The professional and accompanying programme of the CroAgro fair is characterized by the quality and diversity of its contents adjusted to the needs of the modern agricultural industry. In this way, visitors can gain the latest knowledge and insight into innovations in the industry.

The conference "Digital Agriculture and Climate Changes", jointly organized by Zagreb Fair and Poslovni dnevnik, will be held on Friday, 6 December. The conference will present the project of Poslovni dnevnik called "Strizivojna - The First Digital Village in Croatia".

Among the accompanying events, we would like to highlight the round table "A Social Insight into the Collapse of Agriculture in Croatia and Alternative Policies for Agricultural Development".

Food and Healthy Living Fairs are the national event on the topic of food, healthy living and restoration of natural balance of man through a complementary approach.

Food and Healthy Living Fairs cover topics related to healthy food and organic production with a special emphasis on the promotion of local and quality products. The fair comprises several thematic units, including Organica, Apitera, KrOnoplja and Mystic, while a special space will be dedicated to chocolate.

In addition to the offer of numerous family farms, producers gathered under the umbrella of their counties, we would like to highlight the 1st Cheese Fest, the festival of cheese, with the evaluation of the best cheeses by the experts from the Faculty of Agriculture, led by Prof. Samir Kalit, PhD. This is an opportunity for all cheese lovers to discover cheese and other dairy delicacies and enjoy the rich taste of quality products. In addition to flavours, the Cheese Fest will offer visitors the opportunity to learn more about different types of cheese and discover a wide range of interesting information, e.g. that Trappist cheese is produced by monks in the monastery or that Lika cheese Škripavac has been included in the List of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia.

We wish to announce the Winter Magma Festival, a four-day festival of awareness and connecting that brings together all those wishing to awaken their inner peace and achieve spiritual balance through workshops and lectures.

Participants of the Food and Healthy Living Fairs: Zagreb County, Varaždin County, Koprivnica-Križevci County, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Krapina-Zagorje County, Vukovar-Srijem County, Istria County and the City of Petrinja.

The rich offer at the fair

Apart from the exhibition segment, the fair is recognized by the public for numerous gatherings and conferences on current topics in collaboration with domestic and foreign experts. Numerous interesting and educational lectures, seminars, congresses, presentations and workshops will take place as well.

Food and Healthy Living Fairs provide a unique opportunity to taste local products, from organic food to vegetarian and vegan specialties, learn about sustainable life habits and mental health and food innovations, and to buy products at promotional prices and support local producers.

At the international conference of the Croatian Apitherapy Society, on 7 December, innovations in beekeeping and the "Indoor Beehive" - ​​bees as pets and guardians of health will be discussed, among other things. The date was not chosen by chance, namely 7 December is the day of Saint Ambrose, the patron saint of bees. The conference will promote the book The Sound of Bees - Life Stories of 11 Women in Beekeeping. The book tells the story of successful women who deal with bees and beekeeping and was written with the intention of encouraging as many women as possible to get involved in beekeeping. One of the topics will also be mint honey.

"Biodynamic Agriculture - A Sustainable Agricultural Practice" is the topic to be presented by Dijana Posavec, PhD, from the Dr. Rudolf Steiner Center. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the biodynamic agriculture.

We wish to highlight the already traditional afternoon with Krešimir Mišak called "Border Areas of Science" on the topic “Time Travel! Why not?!”.

Gong PUJA will prepare an all-night meditative vigil with the music of gongs. There will be also interesting and educational lectures as follows: Denis Beroš will elaborate on blood type diet, the Croatian Beekeeping Association will hold workshops with elementary school children on the benefits of bees and bee products and an expert lecture on the benefits of bee products intended for consumers and citizens and Jadranko Miklec will hold a lecture and workshops on spinal health. The doyen of the prosciutto sector, Ante Madir from the Croatian Prosciutto Cluster, will give a lecture on the "Tradition, Autochthony and Quality of Croatian Prosciutto".

Prize game

All visitors who have purchased a ticket have the opportunity to participate in the richest prize game to date with as many as 126 prizes from sponsors. The public draw of winners will be held on the last day of the fair.
