From 26 - 29 April 2022 Zagreb Fair organizes at its exhibition space the biennial business fairs BIAM – 26th International Machine Tool and Tools Fair and WELDING – 29th International Welding and Anticorrosion Fair.
 
BIAM and WELDING as the only industrial fairs in the country represent a significant economic and business gathering on this specialized topic and a B2B meetings venue for all existing and potential partners and exhibitors.

This year's edition will be held in pavilions 8A and 9 at 5,500 sq.m. and feature 120 exhibitors from 19 countries (Austria, Check Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Croatia, Italy, Japan, Canada, Kina, Hungary, Netherlands, Germany, USA, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK).
 
Renowned Croatian and world manufacturers, distributors and service providers will present new machine tools, tools, welding equipment and technologies for protection against corrosion as well as technological solutions and sophisticated IT applications, flexible solutions and new product development technologies (primarily Croatia and countries from the region).
 
Fairs are first and foremost focused on primary and secondary economic activities. As such, they are an ideal opportunity to present and promote new technologies and systems in the field of machine tools and tools, machines for processing various materials, welding, welded structures, materials, components, automation of production and processes (robotics, software and engineering), advanced technologies, measurement techniques, quality control and protection against corrosion.

SCHOOL DAY – Promotion of vocational education 

During the run of the BIAM and WELDING fairs, on 26 April, the Ruđer Bošković Technical School (within the scope of its Ruđer Bošković RCC project) and Zagreb Fair are organizing the School Day – the promotion of vocational careers.

Secondary schools and project partners, associates, companies and universities will present themselves as exhibitors.
 
The School Day aims at popularizing vocational careers and connecting employers, partners, present and future students and all interested parties in order to promote their networking and interaction.

PROFESSIONAL AND ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME

We wish to single out the traditional professional programme KORMAT, 25th International Symposium on Material Protection and Industrial Finishing organized by the Croatian Society for Material Protection.

The Symposium will be held online during the run of the fairs on 26 and 27 April 2022.
 
The aim of the Symposium is to present contemporary achievements in the field of protection against corrosion of construction materials, coating methods, corrosion in concrete, application of corrosion inhibitors, cathodic protection and quality assurance. Experts in the sector will be able to improve their knowledge on construction materials and modern methods of protection against corrosion.
 
The Welding coordinators seminar will be organized in the pavilion 9 on 27 April by the Croatian Association for Welding Technology in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture - Chair of Welded Structures. Welding coordination is a very demanding job, so that the experts who perform it must be familiar with the latest achievements in the sector. These regular annual gatherings are important for experts in the field since they can get acquainted with the latest standards and achievements in the field of welding and exchange experience.
