Zagreb Boat Show will present more than 200 vessels, and visitors can expect top offer ranging from yachts, speedboats, boats, kayaks, dinghies to marine engines and outboard motors and the equipment for diving and sailing. The fair has already been recognized and ranked among boat shows with the most diverse nautical offer. It is also an unavoidable venue for B2B meetings, numerous expert lectures and interesting guest appearances.
From the accompanying programme we wish to single out the guest star - our renowned skier Ivica Kostelić, today a passionate sailor, who will present his documentary “Transat“.
“Skipper Training and Safety of Navigation on the Adriatic“, “Women in the Maritime Industry - She & SEA“, “Opportunities for Young People in the Maritime Industry“, are announcements of conferences and panels to be taking place by 18 February.
Apart from the exhibition segment, the Hunting and Fishing Days are accompanied by a rich educational and professional programme, which includes a hunting gastro show, a hunting dog show, a presentation of falcons and falconry, archery, advice related to encounters with wild animals in the city, an exhibition of live snakes, mushroom exhibition etc.
The members of the leading Neretva brand - the Neretva River Boatmen Association will talk about the future of the marathon while presenting the monograph on the Association. For all visitors a prize game with valuable prizes has been organized.
The president of the Croatian Hunting Federation Ivica Budor referred to the centennial tradition of the Federation and Zagreb Fair and talked about the legal restrictions and challenges that hunters are faced with.
At the opening ceremony, the State Secretary in the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia, Josip Bilaver, underlined the importance of continuity - 31 years of holding the Zagreb Boat Show. He also emphasized how important it is to invest in the nautical sector, thus increasing the tourist offer and the overall economic growth.
Martina Ciglević, the Envoy to the President of the Republic of Croatia, accentuated that both fairs are a great development platform, which also gives Croatia the opportunity to assert itself as a country that has something to offer and show.
While officially opening the fairs, the Deputy Mayor of the City of Zagreb, Luka Korlaet, expressed his large satisfaction with their figures - 8 pavilions, 17,000 square meters of exhibition space, 350 exhibitors from 37 countries, as well as with the rich accompanying programme.
With the sounds of the songs "Galeb i ja (The Seagull and Me)" and "More, more (The Sea)" performed by the Parmać Family, the only continental nautical fair in Croatia was officially inaugurated. Come and visit us, we are open until Sunday, 18 February.
